primary solo course 2
I really look forward to flying every chance I get since the school. Tuesday I went out to the field only to be greeted by a 10-20 mph crosswind which also varied in it's direction. Having had so much experience at your school in windy situations I didn't consider that a problem and I got in 4 flights. Probably the most important thing I took away from the school was CONFIDENCE. I am able to do really consistent patterns, approaches and landings. It's like it's just automatic. Thanks for all the great instruction and RC tips. It makes flying so much fun and rewarding.

I flew in winds the other day that scared a few of the old club boys right back into their cars. Two who flew crashed, and the new guy (me) flew without incident three times. Those windy class days were great for us.

The tuition is far too low for the results obtained-approximately 30 solo "takeoffs" and "landings" each, by myself and my son before the week was over!!! After 5 days in class, I have completely revised the approach I will take with respect to the equipment and the type of aircraft I will build. Even if you exclude stick-time, the school was cost effective.

Please allow me to reiterate what a fantastic experience your primary course was for my sons and myself. Your approach of treating both flight preparation and the actual flying as though it were full scale is absolutely on target for maximal learning and fun with minimal headaches. I only wish I'd come to the School BEFORE making all the ridiculous mistakes! Hope to see you again in the near future for aerobatic training!

I had a great time and learned a ton of new things during the solo course. The class has helped my flying immensely. I don't hesitate to fly in the wind after flying in 15 and 20+ winds during the course. I used to only fly in calm conditions, so I'm progressing. Thank you for doing what you do- I learned more in one week than I had in the previous 20+ years of RC!

I soloed the first day back home without a problem. When I went out to fly the next day there were several members at the field, but none had unpacked their airplanes because of 15-20 mph winds. They were amazed that I would even attempt to fly. As they watched and waited for me to crash, I just kept remembering what you taught, and finished my flight with a pretty good landing. I couldn't be more pleased with what I go out of the school.

I've attended numerous institutions of higher learning and I can say that based on the program you have developed and the way you present it and your concern for the students' success you are the best teacher I have ever had!

I have heard nothing but the very best about you and your school. Looking forward to it. We will schedule early.

I've heard club members ask why would anyone pay for RC flight training when he can be taught in his club for free? I have attended several clubs and have not seen anything that resembles the professionalism, amount of thought, enthusiasm, and the personal attention that you bring to training your students.

It was the most positive training experience I have had in sometime. I now have the confidence to go out the field with a planned set of steps to fly my own planes, instead of going to the field with thought of I hope I don't crash. The tone and progression of the class was terrific!.

I honestly didn’t know how you were going to exceed my expectations in this class in comparison to the quantum leap in the basic class over a year ago. You did, it just isn't as immediately obvious until you put it to practice. Then it really hits home when it all works. Your business card claims World Leader in R/C Flight Training--I agree and would add Premier R/C Flight School.

Dave has almost unlimited patience. His manner and calm reactions to any flying situation is one of the keys to the success of the students. It was well worth the investment and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to learn to fly properly.

My flights this year have been getting better each time out. I am increasingly more confident and more relaxed when flying. I cannot say enough about the tools you’ve given me. The techniques you’ve taught me are just what I needed to become an independent flyer at the field. Your school is a terrific resource. I’m looking into signing up for the aerobatics course next year.

I needed concentrated training. So, I decided to attend the 1st US R/C Flight School in Shawano, Wisconsin. Dave has an extraordinary amount of patience and he had the ability to keep calm during all of out student flying sessions. He never appeared ruffled or irritated at our repeated mistakes, I just couldn't believe this.
Al Reynolds. Cheyenne, WY
I can't say enough about your class and instruction. It exceeded all my expectations.
Mike Weathers. St. Louis, MO
It's official Dave. It all came together to allow me to Solo. What a rush! I even landed the plane on the runway in front of an audience of 3 other club members. The combination of concentrated training, emphasis on fundamentals, and your infinite patience has enabled me to be successful. Thanks.

The school has been one of the best time investments I've made in years. You're very professional and structured classroom setting complimented the flying time you individually tailored to the student. You have succeeded in establishing the foundation that every pilot needs in order to be successful.

I want to tell you that I enjoyed your "Solo Class" very much and your approach to the subject is excellent. All the things you said about flying after the course are right on target. I am so happy to have had the opportunity to learn from a "REAL PRO". I have flown approx. 20 flights since the school and I'm way ahead because of you and 1st U.S R/C Flight School. I would like to return for the next level of instruction.
Dennis Eckstein. NY, NY
I'm one of your past basic training students. Have had a blast ever since. Thanks again for teaching me how to fully enjoy this wonderful hobby. I now have several students of my own using your training techniques successfully.
