Imagine all that you could accomplish with the world's most experienced RC flight instructor training you at your home field on your planes!
Between October and March, Dave Scott is available to travel to your location to instruct sport aerobatics, precision aerobatics, warbird or jet aerobatics.
In addition to receiving the same instruction offered at 1st RC Flight School's Wisconsin location, Dave will help you to optimize your plane and radio setups to perfectly compliment your skill level, flying style, and facilitate your goals.
Classes are held to 3 people and are typically put together by a club member who has already experienced the systematic method taught at 1st RC Flight School. Potential classmates will already appreciate the value of going to a professional for help. They may have expressed some frustration with their lack of consistency when trying to improve their flying skills. The deciding factor is that they value their time and how much they have into the hobby to invest in becoming a better flier. Note: Participants must be able to routinely solo a symmetrical-wing sport model.
Whether you are a sport flier tired of randomly boring holes in the sky, or an IMAC competitor who wants to learn what it takes to win, Dave custom tailors the instruction to the individual needs and interests of each participant. The experience is always exceedingly successful and amounts to a cost savings for the class overall.
Classes typically run 4-days, Mon-Thurs (in order to avoid heavier weekend activity at the club field). Tuition, which takes into account Dave's additional preparation and travel days, is $2999 for the week, plus plane ticket, motel, and rental car. Note: Dave is open to staying at one of the student's home and ridesharing in order to save the class $.
The activity would have to be approved by the club beforehand, such as letting club officials know that you and a couple other fliers would like to devote 4-days to receiving instruction to become better safer pilots. We will go out of our way to not interfere with club operations.
Contact Dave to receive the VIP treatment and take your enjoyment of the sport to new heights. Flying is after all, more fun when doing well and making progress!
I have been flying models most of my life, but after one afternoon with Dave my flying had progressed more than it had in years. He explained why things happen the way they do in a way I could understand. I'm friends with several very accomplished R/C pilots, but none have ever taken the time that Dave did to advance my flying skills to a higher level. If anyone thinks his help won’t benefit their flying, they’re wrong! Whether beginner or expert, get on his list and I guarantee that you WILL be rewarded with an excellent experience that will help improve your flying skills more in a week than you would in years on your own.

I just wanted to say that besides being an absolute pleasure, taking your class has given me a wealth of knowledge and confidence in my ability to help these programs succeed and to accomplish my job. I hear your voice and your calm demeanor every time I grab the box and it has honestly saved me from disaster more than a handful of times.
It’s a real pleasure to have my project mates say “great flying!” or “perfect landing!” and I know it’s all due to you. So thank you for your patience, and dedication to me and my needs. That week was an experience I’ll not stop talking about for a long time.
